Sparks is well experienced in preparing young students for this special occasion. We believe that the most important event in the life of a young person should be more than rote memorization leading up to a recital of the Torah. When preparing our students for Bar / Bat Mitzvah, we emphasize the spiritual meaning of this great milestone. We provide each child with the knowledge and tools that are necessary to be an active Jewish adult. We strive to instill an awareness that this milestone is only the beginning of their Jewish life and help them reach a greater appreciation that comes with the responsibilities of Jewish adulthood.
We recommend inquiring about lessons and Bar / Bat Mitzvah Club 12-15 months prior to your child’s special day.
Clubs
Our Bar and Bat Mitzvah clubs are designed with the goal to prepare your child for their special day through an interactive and social medium.
Bar and Bat Mitzvah clubs will combine meaningful student-led discussions, exciting activities (including several field trips), and advanced learning, to give your child the tools they need to take their Jewish learning into young adulthood.
Bar Mitzvah Club
Boys ages 12-14
Bat Mitzvah Club
Girls ages 11-13
Clubs meet once a month on Sunday.
